I got a friend that is in a different time zone then me always asking for the next chapter every release day a few hours before wanting a chapter before he goes to bed, so I went ahead and posted it an hour early.
I managed to keep the birthday party short and sweet. I am going to try to tone down the birthdays from here on out as that was starting to seem like all I was writing about… Inari’s sudden comment to Lilah during the party seemed rather surprising even to me.
I don’t know if it will make it into the story but if you are wondering it was something along the lines of “You maybe be his number two but remember foxes eat rabbits.” From that random bit of dialogue that seemingly taken place without my planning it seemed to spark a little more depth into Inari.
Is she faking it? Is she just jealous of Lilah because she is the other “loli” as it were although they are both a little big for that classification? Or is it just fall into the lines of how adamantly she later makes a point of just hating rabbits. Or maybe the reason she does hate rabbits is because of Lilah, I guess time will tell how it develops.
I did quite a bit of digging about Inari with google… I am still not sure quite how far I am going to take the whole thing, but I have been tossing the idea around of her making Takeshi wear a red handkerchief or something.
Her sudden interest in Takeshi making her shift to more to a teenager was quite a surprise as well. She is turning in to quite the mystery even to me as the writer… Maybe by using Inari she is just determined to be mischievous by nature.
I was planning on using a two-handed katana for Takashi, but I just didn’t like the way it was fitting in with the fact Two-Twelve is only capable to summoning steel two-handers so I went back making it one-hander. I made the description like it is a bit longer so it could fit into the hand and a half type category katana often fit in.
I also struggled with the armor but samurai are very often good archers as well so the archer’s armor kind of fit for him. If it doesn’t fall into the story it is also worth mentioning that he class is indeed samurai.
The way Two-Twelve’s unique [Menu] works he was focusing on Inari, when summoning Takeshi and with the kimono and her name he ended up with the “Japanese” like class as well. I don’t remember if I mentioned it in the last notes or not, but the Japan like island Shima literally means island in Japanese.
I was going to have the receptionist mention the fact he has a unusual class or something drawing attention to it, but it kind of felt off with the way things worked out..
As always thanks for reading.
